Dear compatriots!

The Day of Flag is celebrated in our independent country of Tajikistan as a national holiday for the third year.

On this occasion, I sincerely congratulate all of you and wish you health, happiness and prosperity.

The Flag since the ancient times was one of the main symbols of statehood of the Tajiks. According to the pages of the rich history of our nation, one of the first standard-bearers of our people was Kovai Ohangar (Cova blacksmith), who fought for the eradication of the foundations of oppression, injustice, and to achieve freedom and independence. Flag for centuries has been the subject of pride for our ancestors, and along with the symbols of their state had a special status.

When we are today, or at the beginning of the XXI century, looking back at the historical past of our people, we clearly see what our ancestors sacrificed to protect the borders of their native land, lining up under its own flag.
Fortunately, after a century, the Tajik people, thanks to the independence, gained national flag, a symbol of an independent and sovereign state. The date of the flag of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first time the people of the country as a national holiday with pride for the state independence and sovereignty, noted November 24, 2009.

In today's world, each independent and sovereign state is represented by its flag. In this regard, respect and reverence for the flag is a sign of respect for the ancient historical, cultural and spiritual values, national, the nation state, because the flag along with the Constitution, the arms and national anthem is the number of national and state sanctuaries.

Therefore, also in deference to the constructive and effective role in raising the flag and patriotism, a sense of self-consciousness of the people, especially the younger generation and youth, in 2010 began construction of a large flagpole in one of the most beautiful places in the capital of our country, which was opened on the occasion of 20th anniversary of state Independence of Tajikistan, but its location was named "Maydoni Parcham" (Flag Area).
Everyone who now comes to locations of the national flag and emblem well feel that these two characters express their happiness, success, unity, pride, patriotism and national mentality of our ancient people, they embody in their colors and good aims and intentions of Tajiks .

Our flag is a symbol of a peaceful life, the eternal unity and the hope of the people of Tajikistan for the future.

In this regard, love and respect for the national flag should be at the heart of every honest man and strengthening of national independence and protect the country's achievements. That is the respect and veneration of the flag as a symbol of the independent state of Tajiks, should be a historical mission, filial and civic duty of every member of society.

I am sure that in the future as every honest man and patriot would be proud of their national flag and respect it as a symbol of the state, sovereignty, freedom and independence of the Motherland, to inspire present and future generations of his dignity, role and significance.

The Tajik people today are confident steps under the banner of unity and solidarity in the name of a civilized society, and with his creative will, along with other national shrines will be forever considered a sacred national flag, which is a reflection of the hopes and aspirations of every freedom-loving nation.

These good intentions once again congratulate all of you, dear compatriots, on the occasion of the national holiday the Day of Flag and wish everyone the happiness, prosperity, peace and success.
