The meetings of Tajik Ambassador in Kiev

Dushanbe, February 14. (NIAT “Khovar”).-On February 10, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Ukraine Shuhrat Sultonov met with the Chairman of Kiev State Administration Alexander Popov.
Sh. Sultonov noted, that joint activity with corresponding structural units and institutions of the capital of Ukraine has been significantly activated, links with universities, humanitarian and cultural organizations of city are developing, with their support was established children’s ensemble “Navruz”, work with Tajik Diaspora in city of Kiev is consistently being continued, conducting a number of joint activities has been scheduled.
Ambassador underlined particular importance of realization of agreements which were reached during the official visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to Ukraine held in December, 2011, including for deep bilateral cooperation in various fields, establishing productive relationships and preparation of specialists. Tajik diplomat drew the attention of his interlocutor to the decision of issue on allocation of an appropriate building for Embassy of Tajikistan where it is planned to organize a Tajik cultural centre.
Head of Kiev A.Popov expressed readiness to develop bilateral cooperation and informed that appropriate organs will be given additional order with an aim of consideration of issues discussed at the meeting.
As well, on February 10, in Kiev, Sh.Sultonov met with the Minister for Education, Youth and Sport of Ukraine Dmitriy Tabachkin.
In the course of meeting the sides discussed bilateral relations in sphere of education, including the ways of developing cooperation for preparation of specialists, establishment of contacts between the universities of Tajikistan and Ukraine.
Tajik diplomat drew attention to the importance of preparation of qualified specialists for economy and most of all for developing energy sector of Tajikistan. With this in mind, the Tajik diplomat raised the question of accelerating the opening of branch of the National Technical University “Kharkov Polytechnic Institute” in Dushanbe.
With the view of further decision of this issue Ambassador is going to meet with Head of National Technical University “Kharkov Polytechnic Institute”, according to the Department of Information, Press, Analysis and Foreign Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
