Pakistani President received Tajik Ambassador

Dushanbe, February 13. (NIAT “Khovar”).-On February 9, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan Zubaidullo Zubaidov.
Tajik Ambassador presented invitation on behalf of the Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to participate in celebrating of the International Day “Navruz”, in Dushanbe.
During the meeting the parties exchanged views on topical themes of bilateral relations, development of trade-economic cooperation, and necessity of speedy realization of interaction in the framework of trilateral Agreement about the transit between Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, the opening of direct flight from Dushanbe to Islamabad.
The sides discussed relations with Afghanistan and necessity of strengthening the regional cooperation, as well as the issues of participation of high-ranking delegation of Pakistan in Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-V).
Z. Zubaidov noted, that participation of high-ranking delegation from Pakistan in the work of RECCA-V will give an opportunity to Tajikistan and Pakistan take joint and effective measures with an aim of realization of efforts of international society and regional countries in sphere of economic reconstruction in Afghanistan, establishment of peace and stability in this country.
In relation with themes of RECCA-V, President Asif Ali Zardari underlined, that Pakistani delegation will participate in this Conference. He advocates that Tajikistan and Pakistan adjusted mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of RECCA-V and other events, connected with the Afghanistan development, by his words, the Department of Information, Press, Analysis and Foreign Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
