Preparation issues to the Conference RECCA-V had been discussed in Vena

Dushanbe, January 26. (NIAT “Khovar”, P.Nazarov).-The meeting of the Resident representative of Republic of Tajikistan (RT) under the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Nuriddin Shamsov and Resident representative of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan under the OSCE Abdul Muhammad Shugufon with the General Secretary of OSCE Lambert Zannier had been conducted in Vienna, on January 23.
The main theme of the discussion in meeting had become the issues of the preparation to the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-V), the conducting of which is planned in Dushanbe, on March 26-27, according to the Department of Information, Press, Analysis and Foreign Policy Planning of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Plenipotentiary representatives of two countries had given official invitation to the Conference RECCA-V to the General Secretary of OSCE L. Zannier on behalf of the Tajik Minister for Foreign Affairs Hamrokhon Zarifi and Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmay Rasul.
In his turn, General Secretary of OSCE has expressed gratitude for the joint invitation of the Tajik and Afghan Ministers for Foreign Affairs. He highly assessed Tajikistan’s role as an active country-participant of OSCE in the process of strengthening the peace and stability in Afghanistan and had underlined that, OSCE in future will interact to the expansion of fruitful cooperation between Central Asia and Afghanistan as well.
In this day also was conducted the meeting of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Tajikistan in Austria N.Shamsov with the General Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Kandeh Yumkella.
During the meeting K. Yumkella was received invitation from Tajikistan and Afghanistan sides to the RECCA-V.
Referring to existing opportunities, the sides considered further ways and measures of the rendering technical aid to Tajikistan, especially in sphere of the realization of project’s construction of small and medium hydropower stations, as well as the development of the productive technology in company “TALCO” and little offices for the fruit and vegetable processing in country’s regions.
